Teen pleads guilty in fatal shooting of teen found in street in Sandalwood

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 16-year-old teen pleaded guilty to second-degree felony murder and armed robbery in the shooting death of another teen in Sandalwood that happened in September.

Bobby Dann, who was 15 years old at the time, Gabriel Waisanen, and Me’Kel Queen tried to rob a drug dealer, according to prosecutors.

The dealer shot and killed Queen, according to prosecutors. He did not face any charges.

Dann was arrested a day after the shooting. Police recovered shell casings at the scene from two different types of guns, which suggests an exchange of gunfire.

Queen’s mother was in court Thursday. She agreed with Dann’s plea agreement.

Dann faces 10 to 16 years in prison.
