A teen was shot and injured Thursday morning on Skyline Boulevard, and two juveniles are now in custody, according to the Cape Coral Police Department.
Officers have been on the scene near the 3100 block of Skyline Boulevard and SW 31st Street since about 5:30 a.m. Crime scene tape surrounded a gray SUV in the middle of the road for hours during the investigation.
Police confirmed the victim is a teen and was taken to the hospital.
CCPD said they have two juvenile suspects in custody. Police said the suspects are connected to other crimes. Detectives are in the process of obtaining additional search warrants to aid in their investigation.
An increased police presence is expected in the area, and residents are advised to avoid the vicinity if possible.
