Teenage motorcyclist killed in crash on Gate Parkway

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A teenage motorcyclist was killed in a crash Saturday night at the intersection of Gate Parkway and Burnt Mill Road, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JSO reported the crash occurred Saturday around 9:20 p.m.

A male in his late teens was riding a motorcycle southbound on Gate Parkway when a woman driving an SUV turned left into the motorcyclist’s path.

The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the SUV.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue crews responded to the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist dead.

This incident marks the 46th traffic fatality in Duval County this year and the 11th involving a motorcyclist, according to JSO.
