Teenager fatally stabbed at apartment complex

TAMPA, Fla. — A teenager was fatally stabbed early Sunday morning during an argument at a Tampa apartment complex, authorities said.

At about 2:20 a.m., Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies responded to Northgreen at Carrollwood Apartments after receiving reports of a stabbing.

When they arrived, deputies found a male, 19, with stab wounds.

Detectives learned that a verbal argument escalated, resulting in the victim being stabbed. He was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HCSO said that Michael Aldana, 24, was arrested and taken to the Orient Road Jail. He is facing one charge of First Degree Murder with a weapon.

“What began as a verbal argument has sadly turned into a tragedy,” said Hillsborough Chad Sheriff Chronister. “Our detectives are fully committed, working tirelessly to gather every fact in this investigation.”
