A 68-year-old Titusville man riding a motorcycle through Volusia County died Thursday evening after losing control of the bike, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 6:16 p.m. on northbound U.S. 1 approaching Watson Stanley Road, south of Oak Hill, troopers said.

According to an FHP crash report, the man was riding a 2006 Harley-Davidson in the outside lane when he failed to maintain control of the motorcycle and fell off of it as a result.
