A crash near South Bay involving a tow truck towing another tow truck and a van ignited a fire that required 1,000 gallons of water to extinguish on Monday morning.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR) stated that they responded to a notable vehicle crash involving two tow trucks and a van on US27, just outside of South Bay.

Officials stated that all the people involved were able to exit their vehicles safely.

PBCFR noted that they used water from their engine’s 1,000-gallon tank and firefighting foam to extinguish the flames and prevent them from reigniting.

Two people were transported to a local hospital for evaluation, though their conditions remain unknown.
