TRAFFIC ALERT: Crash shuts down SR-417 in Orange County

All southbound lanes are closed following a crash on State Road 417 in Orange County, troopers say.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 9 a.m. in the area of mile marker 16 on S.R. 417 at Wyndham Lakes Boulevard. Troopers said the crash involved a 2017 truck with a semi-trailer.

One person was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not released.

Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes. Drivers heading south on S.R. 417 are advised to take the Boggy Creek Road exit.

Troopers are investigating to determine the cause of the crash and will provide further updates.
