A trespasser was struck and killed by the Brightline train on 30th and Pinewood at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Officials say the road will be closed while the scene is investigated by Palm Beach County detectives.
According to an announcement by city officials, the Brightline train was traveling along the 3200 block of Pinewood Av. when both the engineer and conductor noticed an individual on the tracks.
Brightline officials say they applied the emergency brakes, sounded the horn, and slowed the train but the individual did not move and was struck.
