A lethal accident has taken place on US Highway 41 between a pickup truck and a sedan.
State Troopers say a pickup truck and a sedan collided just before five in the unincorporated community of Romeo.
They say the truck lost control and hit the sedan which was heading in the opposite direction.
Marion County Fire Rescue was assigned to the crash at 4:55 p.m. and reported on the scene at 5:04 p.m.
MCFR reported that one passenger has died and three are in critical condition.
A 55-year-old female passenger inside the truck was thrown out of the vehicle and killed.
And a 16-year-old female passenger inside the sedan later died in the hospital.
Weather conditions prevented helicopters from arriving on the scene.
