Two Jacksonville residents were transported to hospitals and a third individual was declared dead at the scene after a Saturday morning accident on SH 155.
According to a preliminary report by the Texas Department of public safety, the accident involving a Chrysler Pacifica occurred approximately 8.7 miles south of Palestine.
The report states the driver, Julie Warden, 45, of Jacksonville, was traveling at a high rate of speed when she failed to negotiate a right-hand curve. The vehicle entered a skid then crossed the center median and began to roll, at which point Warden was ejected.
Warden was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two 16-year-old passengers, identified as Jacksonville residents, were transported to local hospitals.
