Alachua County firefighters say two people were sent to the hospital following a crash this afternoon.
Fire rescue crews say two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision on West Newberry Road around 5 p.m.
First responders had to use the jaws of life to rescue one of the occupants from inside their vehicle.
One of the vehicles’ driver and passenger were taken to UF Shands for treatment.
