Two Men Electrocuted In Boca Raton

Two landscape workers were critically injured Tuesday afternoon when they were electrocuted while cutting trees in the City of Boca Raton. The men were rushed to Delray Medical Center, the area’s trauma center.

According to sources familiar with the rescue operation, Boca Raton Fire Rescue was called to the area of the 100 block of St. Cloud Lane around 3:45 after callers reported that the men were injured. The area is just north of Glades and east of St. Andrew’s.

Witnesses on the scene tell BocaNewsNow.com that the men did not speak English which made the rescue more challenging, as First Responders tried to understand what was wrong and what exactly happened.

It was not immediately clear if the men cut a line, came into contact with an electrical line, or if a line blew into them while they were working. It was also not immediately clear if OSHA was called to investigate what happened.
