Two teens charged with shooting into driving vehicle’s windshield in Fort Walton Beach

Two teens are charged with shooting into a man’s windshield in Fort Walton Beach on Friday following a verbal altercation at a convenience store.

19-year old EPL is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed firearm, and shooting into an occupied vehicle.

17-year old LLG is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, the incident “started over a verbal altercation involving money” between the two suspects and the victim at a convenience store.

“The teens drove off and the victim was heading home driving behind them when a bullet went through his windshield,” deputies say in a release.

The driver was not injured.

Deputies located the suspects a few hours after the shooting.

“They recovered a semi-automatic handgun from underneath the passenger seat. The passenger [L] says he fired ‘into the air’ to scare the victim,” the release states.
