A man was killed in an apparent self-defense shooting on Navy Boulevard on Monday night, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

It happened around 7 p.m. between the Dollar Tree and Little Caesar Pizza.

The man died at the scene.

The sheriff’s office told WEAR News Tuesday morning that the shooting is being investigated as a self-defense case.
