“A car went flying through this door and ran through this whole building,” said Loan Nguyen.
Nguyen has owned and operated Lisenby Beauty Supply Nail Spa in Panama City for 24 years.
On Thursday, a vehicle crashed through the front of her business before stopping in the middle of the spa itself.
“The car was way back there, literally the car was that way. Yeah, luckily no customers got hurt,” Nguyen said.
Panama City Police Chief Mark Smith says the driver of the car accidentally drove into the building, and that there was nothing suspicious about it.
The Panama City Fire Department also responded to the scene.
“This is a big step. I don’t know how they got in here. That’s bizarre, right?”, Nguyen said as she pointed to the ground in front of the building.
The Panama City Police Department confirmed that one person sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Nguyen said that person is one of her employees.
“We’ve got a worker here, yeah. One of my workers got hurt. She’s at the hospital now, I’ve got to go check on her,” said Nguyen.
Nguyen said her employee was struck by the vehicle and the door of the building.
News Channel 7 obtained photos of the abrasions on the arm of the employee.
“They’re in the hospital now. So, we’re gonna try to find out what happens next,” Nguyen said.
According to Nguyen, she is currently awaiting word from her insurance company.
“I don’t know. I gotta depend on my insurance, I hope. Because I don’t know, we have to fix it, with some help,” said Nguyen.
