The Walton County Fire Rescue was called to an outside fire on Mixon Road in Mossy Head on Thursday.
Fire officials said the fire happened at 5:40 a.m., and upon arrival, they discovered a double-wide trailer fully involved.
According to a news release, firefighters worked diligently to knock down the blaze. They were on the scene for several hours however, the home was considered a total loss.
No one was in the home at the time of the incident, fire officials confirmed.
The City of DeFuniak Springs Fire Department, Liberty Volunteer Fire District, multiple Walton County Fire Rescue apparatus, and both Battalion Chiefs responded to assist.
The State Fire Marshals Office responded and the Red Cross has been notified.
