A school bus carrying three students in Fort Pierce was struck by an SUV resulting in both drivers being hospitalized.
The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office (SLCSO) stated that they responded to the crash at around 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon at Fort Pierce Boulevard and Wintergarden Parkway.
The report states that the bus was driving north on Fort Pierce Boulevard and at the same time the SUV was driving northwest across Fort Pierce Boulevard.
According to officials, the SUV failed to yield to oncoming traffic, resulting in a crash.
The bus driver and the SUV driver were both transported to a hospital, three students had minor injuries and were turned over to their parents.
