A 73-year-old woman from Williston is dead and a 69-year-old man from Williston is in the hospital after a vehicle crash in Marion County Wednesday night.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers say the 69-year-old was driving his sedan on US 27, just west of Northwest 168th Avenue in Morriston, at around 8:30 p.m.
A 28-year-old man from Ocala was driving a large farm tractor north on US 27 ahead of the sedan. The driver of the sedan rear-ended the farm tractor.
The driver and passenger in the sedan were both taken to the hospital. The 73-year-old passenger died at the hospital and the 69-year-old driver has serious injuries. The driver of the farm tractor was not injured.
FHP troopers are investigating the cause of the crash.
