A 22-year-old woman was arrested last week after she stabbed a man in southwest Miami-Dade, an arrest report obtained Monday by Local 10 News stated.
According to the arrest report, the stabbing occurred at about 9:30 a.m. Friday in the 23600 block of Southwest 139th Avenue.
Miami-Dade police said a Be on the Lookout (BOLO) was issued for the suspect, V S, after the stabbing, and she found hiding in bushes in the area of Southwest 266th Street and 139th Avenue.
According to the report, a witness told detectives that S and the victim were involved in an argument, and at some point, See grabbed the victim by his shirt.
The witness told detectives that the victim grabbed S’s wrist and pushed her off of him, at which time she pulled out a pocketknife and stabbed him in the right upper chest area, authorities said.
Police said the victim ran into a home where he told the witness “I feel wet.”
The witness then helped the victim remove his shirt and saw that he was bleeding profusely and was beginning to lose consciousness.
According to the report, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue airlifted the victim to Jackson South Medical Center for treatment.
Police stated in the arrest report that S, who is currently homeless, provided a sworn statement to detectives, however her statement was redacted from the publicly released report.
S was arrested on an attempted murder charge.
As of Monday afternoon, she was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without bond.
