Woman arrested for deadly crash in Boynton Beach: Sheriff

An arrest was made in a deadly Boynton Beach crash that killed two people and injured four, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says.

According to PBSO, M A-C was arrested at around 5 a.m. on Wednesday and booked on counts of driving without a valid driver’s license.

PBSO’s crash report says the crash happened on Aug. 30 when a Toyota Corolla driven by A-C, 25, was traveling westbound on Armone Place, attempting to enter and cross the intersection of South State Road 7 from east to west.

Officials reported that a Toyota Rav 4 was traveling southbound on South State Road 7, within the center lane, approaching the intersection of Armone Place and Osprey Pond Lane.

The report continued to state that as the Corolla entered the intersection, carrying four passengers, it crossed all northbound lanes and passed through the center median before entering the southbound lanes. It violated the Rav 4’s right of way, which officials said caused the collision.

During the collision, the front of the Rav 4 impacted the rear passenger side of the Corolla, according to PBSO.

The Corolla struck the dirt and grass on the shoulder and rolled over violently. Investigators revealed that as the Corolla rolled over, the two passengers seated on the right side of the car were both thrown from the vehicle, resulting in it coming to rest upside-down.

The two passengers thrown from the Corolla were identified as 40-year-old YM P of Lake Worth Beach and 52-year-old RD of Boynton Beach. Both died as a result of the collision.

The four other people involved in the crash were reported to have minor injuries.
