Officers arrested a woman on an attempted murder charge for shooting her boyfriend in the back after learning of an affair.
Court records show DB-G, 30, pled not guilty on Feb. 4.
According to the arrest report, she called 911 on Feb. 1 saying she shot her boyfriend for putting his hands on her and because she was upset.
Officers say the bullet hit his spine, causing him to have limited use of his left arm.
B-G told detectives the couple began arguing after the victim came home drunk and she went through his phone. She listened to a voicemail from another woman claiming to be pregnant with his child.
She threw a phone at the victim, hitting him in the head. She claims the man hit her in the back of the head multiple times, however, detectives note she did not have any injuries.
Police say B-G is ten weeks pregnant and her five-year-old daughter was in the home at the time of the shooting.
She now has an arraignment hearing on the court calendar for March 4.
