Woman shot on Florida bus after ‘accidental discharge,’ deputies say

A woman is hospitalized with a gunshot wound after “accidentally discharging” a firearm on a bus, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 7:10 a.m. on Monday, deputies responded to the corner of Alafaya Trail and East Colonial Drive in east Orlando regarding the discharge of a firearm on a Lynx bus.

A woman, only identified as in her 50s, was found with a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies said there was no threat to the public. No further details have been released.
