Polk County deputies are investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred on Wednesday.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 3:47 p.m. to reports of a driver who was shot while heading west on Interstate 4 near the ramp on State Road 559.
Police said that the victim was grazed by a bullet that came through the driver’s side window of her truck.
An investigation revealed that the bullet may have been fired from someone heading east in the opposite direction.
The victim was taken by Polk County Fire Rescue to a nearby hospital where she was treated and released.
