Woman struck and killed on bike in Friday night hit-and-run

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that happened Friday.

According to the sheriff, a woman was riding her bike northbound crossing the intersection of Okeechobee Boulevard and Haverhill Road when she was hit by a 2007-2008 black Hyundai Tiburon at a high speed.

The vehicle then fled eastbound, leaving the woman deceased at the scene.

PBSO later located the suspected vehicle by Manor Drive and Okeechobee Boulevard.

The vehicle was positively identified as the suspect vehicle.

Two occupants were arrested on non-traffic-related charges.

This is an ongoing investigation.
