‘You die once and for all’: Woman accused of stabbing partner after he arrived home late from work

A domestic dispute escalated into a violent situation on Monday when a woman stabbed her boyfriend after an argument about his late arrival home from work, police confirmed.

According to an arrest report from the Miami-Dade Police Department, the couple, who live together with their two children, became embroiled in a confrontation after the victim arrived home without food prepared.

Police said the couple’s argument intensified when 33-year-old Dulce Guerrero armed herself with a knife.

Detectives said the victim attempted to disarm Guerrero to de-escalate the situation but sustained a laceration to his right hand during the struggle.

As the victim backed away, informing Guerrero that she had cut him, authorities said she proceeded to lunge at him and stabbed him in the abdomen.

Witnesses told police that she shouted in Spanish, “So that you die once and for all,” after the incident occurred.

Police said the victim also sustained a deep puncture wound to the right upper quadrant of his abdomen. He was transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to Jackson South Medical Center for advanced medical treatment, according to the report.

Upon police arrival at the scene, Guerrero was taken into custody and later transported to the same hospital due to high blood pressure. After being read her rights, detectives said she admitted to the actions leading to the stabbing.

Jail records show she is facing one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Guerrero, a native of Mexico, was placed on an immigration hold and is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center as of Tuesday afternoon.
