1 hospitalized after northwest Miami-Dade house fire

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue medics took one person to a local hospital after a fire broke out at a house in the county’s West Little River area late Tuesday morning, an agency spokesperson said.

According to MDFR, the fire broke out at around 11:45 a.m. in the 2100 block of Northwest 100th Street.

The MDFR spokesperson said medics took the patient as a trauma alert by ambulance to Jackson Memorial Hospital after removing him or her from the home.

Authorities did not specify his or her age, gender or condition as of early Tuesday afternoon.

Officials said firefighters were able to get the blaze under control just before 12:15 p.m.
