A driver was arrested on Wednesday for knowingly driving with a suspended license after crashing into a pool-cleaning truck in Naples.
At approximately 8:30 a.m., a gold SUV ran a red light and collided with a truck carrying around 44 2.5-gallon containers of chlorine at the intersection of Central Avenue and US-41.
The impact caused the truck to roll over, prompting the Hazardous Materials Team from Naples Fire Rescue to respond and decontaminate the spill and the affected driver.
Upon investigation, deputies discovered that Harley Pierce Frey, 54, was driving the SUV despite having multiple active license suspensions. He was arrested and taken to the Collier County Jail.
