14-year-old bicyclist airlifted to hospital after crash with vehicle in Port St. Lucie

A 14-year-old boy was airlifted to the hospital following a crash in Port St. Lucie on Wednesday night.

The Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) said at around 8:38 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle vs. bicycle crash at the intersection of SW Tradition Pkwy and SW Village Pkwy.

When first responders arrived, they found the teenage bicyclist conscious and breathing. He was then airlifted to St. Mary’s Medical Center, PSLPD said.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are currently under investigation. While police investigate the scene of the crash, drivers are asked to avoid the area and expect traffic delays.
