A 19-year-old man died in a car crash on South Lecanto Highway in Citrus County early Friday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the victim, who is from New York, was driving a Nissan Altima on South Lecanto Highway north of West Black Circle around 4 a.m.
The car then went off the road and hit a concrete power pole.
Officials said the man was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries in the crash.
