Two men were arrested in connection to a shooting at a drive-thru convenience store in Zephyrhills last week, police announced Tuesday.
At 10:55 a.m. on Friday, the Zephyrhills Police Department responded to the In and Out Drive Thru, located at 5058 Gall Boulevard for a possible shooting.
One person was shot and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police discovered that a vehicle carrying four people entered the drive-thru of the business. As one person went to pay, a firearm was “unintentionally discharged” by someone in the back of the car.
The person sitting in the passenger seat was struck by the bullet, and injured, police said.
Officers identified and arrested 19-year-old A J R and 20-year-old J X R in connection to the shooting.
R is facing charges of carrying a concealed firearm, culpable negligence, and improper exhibition of a firearm, while R is facing charges of tampering with evidence and carrying a concealed firearm.
