Two men died in a crash near Lake Wales on Monday night.
Polk County deputies and firefighters were called to the intersection of State Road 60 West and West Lake Wales Road at around 9:38 p.m.
Two Bartow men, ages 24 and 35, were found dead inside a Chevy van.
The van ran a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a semi truck, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
The semi driver, a 42-year-old man from Port Richey, was not hurt in the crash.
The road was shut down for over five hours while officials investigated the crash.
