2 people found shot to death in Deerfield Beach home, man hospitalized.

Authorities are investigating after two people were found shot to death inside a Deerfield Beach home and a man who was found shot in the street outside the home had to be hospitalized Thursday morning.

Two people were shot and killed Thursday morning in Deerfield Beach, authorities said.

The shooting happened in the 4000 block of Eastridge Drive at around 5:45 a.m., according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

First responders at the scene found a man in the street suffering from a gunshot wound and took him to the hospital for treatment.

During their investigation, deputies found two people shot to death inside a nearby home, officials said.

Authorities haven’t released the identities of anyone involved in the incident but the two victims found in the home were reported to be a woman and child.

Nearby residents said they heard yelling in the early morning.

One woman shared video from her front door showing blood on the walkway. She said someone had banged on the door, asking for help.

“Is it random? Is it a family issue? Being that it’s a small child is more scary cause who would do that to a woman let alone a child,” neighbor Kristen Mays said.

An emotional man and a woman arrived at the scene while authorities investigated. The woman could be seen wailing in the arms of a sheriff’s deputy.

Authorities said there does not appear to be a threat to the community.
