The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrested two teens in the double murder of two 16-year-olds in June 2024.
JM, 17, and AR, 19, were charged with second-degree murder.
Police said on June 9 at around 4:30 a.m., they responded to reports of a shooting at the Island Pointe Apartments on Island Point Drive. When they arrived, they found T J. O and S K. M suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Both died at the scene.
“It’s usually quiet. Nothing like this ever happens,” said a resident, who wished to remain anonymous.
