21-year-old arrested on 10 felony counts of child porn possession in Immokalee

IMMOKALEE, Fla. —
An Immokalee man was arrested Tuesday on multiple charges of child pornography possession.

Detectives found Miguel Lorzerno Mendiola, 21, with multiple images depicting child pornography after criminal activity was detected at a home on Allegiance Way in Immokalee.

The investigation began after the Collier County Sheriff’s Office received several cyber tips from The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding the distribution of child sexual abuse material.

ICAC (The Internet Crimes Against Children) Task Force assisted CCSO detectives with the Southwest Florida INTERCEPT (Inter-agency Child Exploitation and Persons Trafficking) Task Force in this investigation.

Mendiola is currently in custody at the Collier County Jail. He is charged with ten felony counts of possessing obscene material depicting minors, one count of possessing ten or more child pornography images, and one count of obscene communication with a child.

More charges are expected as the investigation continues.
