21-year-old Orlando man killed in crash on Americana at John Young Parkway

21-year-old Orlando man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The FHP said a 2016 Kia Optima crashed around 7:40 a.m. at Americana Boulevard and South John Young Parkway near Orlando.

The driver was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead, troopers said.

Video from the scene shows a damaged black car in the grass next to the road.

Eastbound lanes of Americana Boulevard are closed in the area.

An investigation is ongoing.
