23-year-old man charged with murder of 22-year-old woman found shot to death in Jacksonville

 A 23-year-old man was charged with the murder of a 22-year-old woman in September 2023 in the Jacksonville Heights area, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

On Wednesday, police announced the arrest of A G in the shooting death of N A A.

On Sept. 14, 2023, JSO officers responded to a local park on Old Middleburg Road South after a citizen reported seeing a car idling at the park with what appeared to be bullet strikes on the driver’s side.

When they arrived, officers found A dead in the car, according to JSO.

Police later determined that she had died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds, and an autopsy revealed the cause of death as a homicide.

After reviewing all available evidence, police identified G as the suspect.

G, who was already in jail on unrelated charges, and has now been charged with A’s murder.
