31-year-old motorcyclist dies in rear-end crash with SUV on I-95

A motorcyclist died Tuesday night after he ran into a stalled vehicle on Interstate 95 near Beaver Street, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

The 31-year-old man was driving a Yahmah YZF600 north on I-95 in the right lane around 7:30 p.m. FHP said a Ford Expedition was heading over the Iron Bridge when the 55-year-old driver experienced a vehicle malfunction, causing him to stop in the gore area in between traffic lanes.

According to FHP, the motorcyclist changed lanes across the gore area and hit the back of the Expedition.
