A 61-year-old man is dead after crashing his pickup truck into a ditch Thursday afternoon in Arcadia.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a pickup truck was headed south on SE Hillsborough Avenue toward Hibiscus Drive.
At around 1:53 p.m., the truck reportedly veered off the road and crashed into a mailbox before getting back on the road. The vehicle then drove into a ditch and overturned, ejecting the driver.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The scene caused a complete roadblock on SE Granada Drive at Hillsborough Avenue.
The crash remains under investigation by FHP.
