A man was struck and killed early Wednesday in Orange County, shutting down a busy intersection, officials said.
The deadly wreck happened just before 4 a.m. on Princeton Street near Silver Star Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 63-year-old man was walking on the shoulder and went into the southbound lane of Princeton Street in front of a 2018 Ford Fusion.
The front of the vehicle, driven by a 42-year-old Orlando woman, hit the man, officials said. Troopers said he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was uninjured.
Traffic was blocked in the area, but the roadways were later reopened.
An investigation is ongoing.
