72-year-old man dead after running into the path of car, PBSO says

A 72-year-old man who ran into the path of an oncoming car is now dead, says the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO).

According to an updated crash report released by PBSO Josue Andres Parker died from his injuries at 8:27 p.m. on Friday, March 8.

PBSO previously reported the driver of a Kia Forte, identified as a 26-year-old woman, was driving on Southern Boulevard, east of State Road 7. At the same time, 72-year-old Parker was walking across the eastbound lanes, directly into the path of the Kia, the crash report stated.

The sheriff’s office said Parker did not yield to oncoming traffic and ran directly into the path of the Kia Forte without warning.

During the crash, the report stated Parker was thrown over the car and landed on the roadway.
