93-year-old Boca Raton woman dies nearly a week after crash

A Boca Raton woman succumbed to the injuries she sustained nearly a week earlier in a crash that happened when the driver of the other vehicle allegedly ran a red light.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) crash report indicates the woman, Audrey Milk, was riding in an Acura MDX shortly after 5 p.m., last Tuesday. Investigators determined the SUV was heading south on Powerline Road when a BMW 320i coming the other way turned left in front of the Acura and two vehicles collided.

According to the report, the BMW had gone through a red light when its driver was making the turn onto Palmetto Park Road.

Milk, 93, was taken to the Boca Raton hospital for treatment and died on Monday evening. The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries in the wreck.

The man behind the wheel was not injured, the PBSO added. Its report noted that drugs or alcohol may have been in his system at the time.
