One person was injured, and another was arrested following a shooting in Tampa Thursday morning that police said started with an argument.

The shooting happened just after 7 a.m. in the 8200 block of North 14th Street, according to the Tampa Police Department.

Investigators said the suspect, KB, Jr., 34, had gotten into an argument with a man he knew. B told the man to leave, and as the man was getting on his bicycle to ride away, police said Blair went inside his house and grabbed a gun.

B then came back outside holding the unloaded gun in one hand and a magazine in the other, according to authorities.

At some point, the other man involved turned around and began riding back toward B’s home. B told him to stop, and when he did not, B racked the empty gun to scare the man, police said.

The man continued riding toward B, who then loaded his gun and cocked it again, according to the police department. Investigators said B shot the man after the man took a swing at him.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

B was arrested and booked into the Orient Road Jail for one count of aggravated battery with a firearm.
