All lanes shut down on Morris Bridge Road after fatal crash: Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office

One person is dead after their car hit a utility pole on Morris Bridge Road early Tuesday morning, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office announced.

Deputies responded to Morris Bridge Road just south of Cory Lake Boulevard around 3:43 a.m. in regards to a crash with injuries.

Tampa Fire Rescue arrived at the scene first to find a car that hit a utility pole. TFR assessed to see if life-saving measures were possible, but the driver suffered fatal injuries.

Lanes in both directions are shut down while investigators are on scene, HCSO said.
