A bicyclist was hospitalized Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Hollywood, authorities confirmed.
The crash was reported just before 6 a.m. in the area of Sheridan Street and North 19th Avenue.
According to Hollywood police spokeswoman Deanna Bettineschi, the bicyclist was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital. His or her condition has not been released.
Sky 10 was above the scene around 6:30 a.m. as a white car remained at the scene. Blood could be seen on the median.
Bettineschi said the roadway is currently closed as the investigation continues.
No other details were immediately released.
