The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death.
According to the sheriff’s office, around 5 p.m. Sunday, a Sam’s Club employee found a dead body floating face down in a retention pond behind Sam’s Club, located at 5565 20th St. in Vero Beach.
Detectives responded to the scene. According to the sheriff’s office, the person was identified as a homeless adult male and they are working to identify the man’s family of his death.
