Brightline train strikes, kills woman in Brevard County, sheriff’s office says

A woman was fatally struck by a Brightline train late Tuesday in Brevard County, according to the sheriff’s office.

The collision occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the area of Ansin Road in unincorporated Rockledge, a Brevard County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said in a statement.

The woman struck by the train was pronounced dead at the scene, the statement reads.

An investigation is ongoing, according to the sheriff’s office.
