The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around 3:19 p.m. Wednesday. Deputies responded to the scene at 25th Street Southwest and 27th Avenue Southwest in the Florida Ridge area. The 16-year-old was flown to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce.  A Casselberry family is mourning the loss of their dog after Seminole County deputies say it was shot by an off-duty deputy who was walking his own dog on the sidewalk. Two men died after being shot in two separate areas in Orange County on the 4th of July, deputies said.  The first shooting happened around 2:07 p.m. on the 5200 block of Sailfish Street. 60-year-old bicyclist Cary Sparks is in critical condition after being hit by a car in St. Augustine. The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said it happened late Wednesday evening outside the Arbors at Valencia subdivision. Southbound express lanes reopen after I-95 crash

Southbound express lanes have reopened on Interstate 95 at Opa-locka Boulevard (135th Street) after what Florida Highway Patrol reported as a major crash early Friday morning. A 17-year-old from Sanford died following a crash in Volusia County Tuesday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol. 26-year-old motorcyclist killed in South Daytona crash, police say

A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash in South Daytona on Wednesday afternoon, according to police. The crash happened shortly after 8 p.m. in the 2000 block of Magnolia Avenue. The motorcyclist was identified as Luke Tyle Smith of DeLand.  According to a police report, Smith was driving in “a careless manner” and lost control of his bike.  At some point, he was thrown off the bike and hit a tree, police said. He was pronounced dead on scene.
