The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around 3:19 p.m. Wednesday.  A Casselberry family is mourning the loss of their dog after Seminole County deputies say it was shot by an off-duty deputy who was walking his own dog on the sidewalk. The sheriff’s office says the deputy was a dog lover, who didn’t want things to end this way. Two men died after being shot in two separate areas in Orange County on the 4th of July, deputies said.  The first shooting happened around 2:07 p.m. on the 5200 block of Sailfish Street. A man on a scooter was hospitalized on Thursday after he was hit by a car in St. Petersburg, according to police. The crash happened in the area of Dr. King Street South and 14th Avenue South, police said. The man is expected to be OK. The Tampa Police Department said it arrested two men after a shooting injured a security guard and three men at an adult entertainment club early Friday. Tampa officers said the incident began with a fight between two suspects, 26-year-old Ryan Moss, and 27-year-old Kelvin Duran, and a security guard. 60-year-old bicyclist Cary Sparks is in critical condition after being hit by a car in St. Augustine. The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said it happened late Wednesday evening outside the Arbors at Valencia subdivision. A 17-year-old from Sanford died following a crash in Volusia County Tuesday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol. The driver was traveling eastbound on Reed Ellis Road, approaching the intersection of State Road 415. The driver was traveling above the posted speed limit and lost control, according to reports. A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash in South Daytona on Wednesday afternoon, according to police. The crash happened shortly after 8 p.m. in the 2000 block of Magnolia Avenue. The motorcyclist was identified as Luke Tyle Smith of DeLand.  According to a police report, Smith was driving in “a careless manner” and lost control of his bike.  At some point, he was thrown off the bike and hit a tree, police said. He was pronounced dead on scene.
