Two people suffered burn injuries after their boat had mechanical issues, according to Hernando County Fire Rescue. On Sunday, officials responded to the area near Channel Marker 3 off Bayport Park. When crews reached the disabled vessel, they began ALS medical care on the boaters, as they brought them to shore. The two victims were taken to a nearby hospital. Their current condition is unknown. A woman driving an SUV was struck by a train while approaching a railroad crossing on Saturday morning in Sumter County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
