 Bradenton man died after he crashed his SUV into a guardrail on Monday evening, according to troopers. The Florida Highway Patrol said a 52-year-old Bradenton man was driving east on 49th Street East near 16th Avenue East in Palmetto when he drove off the road for an unknown reason. A 5-year-old girl who was riding a scooter was killed after she was struck by a pickup truck in West Palm Beach. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said it happened on South Military Trail on Sunday evening. Investigators say the driver of the pickup truck was traveling in a development approaching a curve.  A 63-year-old Silver Springs man was killed Monday night in a single-vehicle wreck in Marion County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The fatal crash was reported around 8 p.m. along State Road 40 near NE 14 Street Road. The FHP said the man was driving a car west on S.R. 40 at a high rate of speed when the vehicle left the road on a curve and struck three vehicles in the parking lot of the Forest Veterinary Clinic.

A bicyclist and driver are in the hospital after the two were involved in a collision in Casselberry early Saturday morning, according to the Seminole County Fire Department. The bicyclist, a 50-year-old man, was taken to the hospital as a trauma alert, according to firefighters. The crash happened on North L Street on West Jordan Street at around 11:30 a.m. According to FHP, an ECAT bus driven by a 62-year-old Pensacola man was carrying two passengers, an 18-year-old Pensacola woman and a 58-year-old Pensacola man. The bus was traveling north on North L Street and approaching West Jordan Street.

Sky 10 was above the building, located at 431 Northwest Third St., around 9 a.m. as heavy smoke was coming from the building. City of Miami Fire-Rescue Lt. A mother was arrested in Daytona Beach after a child nearly drowned in a bathtub, according to the police department. Karina Mustafa, 29, was taken into custody Sunday. According to the Daytona Beach Police Department, the child’s father called 911 around 12:45 p.m. after he found the child unresponsive in the tub.
