Police are investigating after a 13-year-old was fatally shot in Florida City on Saturday night. The shooting happened near the 1300 block of Northwest 6th Avenue at around 8 p.m., Florida City Police officials said. When officers responded, they found a child in a backyard with gunshot wounds. The West Palm Beach Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred Saturday evening. Police say they received a call at around 7:30 p.m. of a man lying on the southbound sidewalk of Broadway Avenue near the 3200 block. Greater Naples Fire Rescue District and other fire crews responded to the scene to extinguish the flames.
